So They Don’t Yet Know The Vote Count In Iowa . . .

Once every 4 years, the state of Iowa takes center stage as the first caucus in our nation. Once every 4 years the nation waits breathlessly for the vote count, to see which candidates are going on to the next round. And we wait . . . and wait . . . and wait . . . Yes, sometimes things “break”, or the system gets overloaded, or there is a glitch in the software. Yes, these things happen, but they happen more often with things that occur only sporadically. Daily things are checked and rechecked to run smoothly, but sometimes other functions—those which occur less frequently—can fail when the time comes. Is there something in your businesses that is rarely used, but when needed, is vital? It could be a projector that is only brought out for huge stockholder meetings, a contact form on a website buried on an inner page or even a fire extinguisher that may be past its usage date. While we await the election results, perhaps use the time to check that your smoke detector batteries are fresh, your emergency exits aren’t blocked and that the links on your website all work properly.
