Book Coaching

If you are looking for a unique way to promote their business or career, there is nothing quite as effective as adding two words – “author of” to your biography. A book can act as the ultimate business card, and give you instant relevance in your field, as you are the person who literally “wrote the book” in your industry.

The financial and professional benefits you can gain from publication are enormous, and these benefits aren’t dependent upon book sales. Quite frankly, giving your book away to prospective clients to close deals, featuring your book on your website or using your book for talks or workshops you deliver, will do more to further your business than mere book royalties.

Book coaching is designed to get you from “brain to book” in under 6 months and includes:

  • Initial planning meetings to strategize on your book goals,  focus,  themes and plans. From there we will work with mind mapping to explore different chapter options, develop a book outline and publication timeline. You will learn different techniques and strategies to make writing your book easy and painless, with tactics designed to suit your specific style and strengths.
  • For the next several months, you will be writing your book and sending in sections as you go for editing and suggestions. As the book comes together, your cover art and book summary will be developed to use for promotional materials as well as your “Coming Soon” pages and posts about your new release.
  • Upon completion of the content, your new book will have professional book layout and formatting so that your book will include all standard layout pages – including title page, table of contents, dedication, author bio, etc. – as well as chapter layout (with options for traditional or modern chapter headings, dropped caps and other chapter flourishes)

By breaking down the tasks into their parts, setting the scene, and setting out just one step at a time, you too can join the minority among the majority – the few who have achieved what so many only wish for – to write a book.
